We are seeking a passionate and experienced Math Tutor to join the Self-Degree network of educators. You’ll work alongside AI-powered tutoring systems and human mentors to provide personalized, engaging math education to learners of all ages and backgrounds.

Your mission: help students understand, apply, and love math — not just memorize it.

Responsibilities

• Deliver live 1-on-1 or small group math tutoring sessions through the Self-Degree platform.

• Collaborate with AI systems to personalize learning paths and recommend practice activities.

• Create and refine custom learning roadmaps for math at various levels (elementary to college).

• Explain complex mathematical concepts using real-world applications and active learning.

• Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Participate in community discussions and support homeschooling families with math guidance.

• Contribute to the development of quizzes, challenges, and math missions for gamified learning.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.

• Proven experience (2+ years) teaching or tutoring math, either online or in person.

• Strong grasp of problem-solving, conceptual understanding, and curriculum design.

• Ability to simplify difficult topics and make math engaging.

• Comfortable using digital tools, AI-assisted learning platforms, or online whiteboards.

• Excellent communication skills and patience when teaching learners at different levels.
