Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These terms govern access to Self-degree. By using the service, you agree to these terms and any organization agreement that applies to your account. If an organization agreement conflicts with these public terms, the organization agreement controls for that deployment.
2. Service
Self-degree provides personalized learning roadmaps, quests, activities, exams, study groups, mentoring, skills and experience tracking, knowledge verification, evidence records, resource directories, and organization integrations. The service extends learning and people systems; it is not an HR system and does not make employment decisions.
3. Verification limits
Results describe the evidence collected in a specific attempt. Only the first valid attempt counts as the decision record for a distributed quest, while later attempts may support practice. Theory, practical experience, and mentor judgment are separate measures. A result, star, score, or gap is not by itself a hiring, termination, promotion, disciplinary, licensing, or safety decision.
Organizations and users remain responsible for the decisions they make, the policies they provide, the suitability of activities, and any legally required human review, accommodation, notice, or consent.
4. Accounts, permissions, and sharing
Keep credentials secure and provide accurate account information. Employees retain access to their own results. Roadmaps can be private, company-only, or public, and the roadmap owner controls sharing. Managers, mentors, external mentors, and administrators may act only within their configured permissions and roadmap access.
Do not use the service to bypass access controls, impersonate another person, upload unlawful material, interfere with the service, or evaluate people in a discriminatory or unlawful way.
5. Content and integrations
Users and organizations retain their rights in material they upload. They grant Self-degree the rights needed to host, process, transform, and display that material to provide the service. The uploader must have the necessary rights and permissions.
Public templates and roadmaps may be viewed, shared, rated, or forked as the product indicates. Private organization resources remain restricted unless an authorized owner publishes them. Connector fields, directions, ownership, and responsibilities are defined for each integration.
6. AI and third-party services
AI output can be incomplete or incorrect and must be reviewed in context. Third-party models, integrations, and linked resources may have separate terms. Self-degree does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or suitability of third-party content.
7. Availability and changes
We may maintain, improve, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or a particular learning outcome. Material changes affecting an enterprise deployment are handled under its organization agreement.
8. Intellectual property
Self-degree and its licensors retain rights in the platform, software, designs, and platform-created materials. Except where the service expressly permits sharing or forking, you may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or misuse protected platform materials.
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict access for security threats, unlawful use, material breach, or non-payment under an applicable agreement. When an organization relationship ends, that organization loses access to the employee's roadmaps and historical results as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided to the extent permitted by law without guarantees of a specific educational, employment, operational, or financial outcome. Liability limits, warranties, payment terms, governing law, and dispute procedures may be set in an applicable organization agreement. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
