English Tutor (Remote / Flexible Hours)

We’re looking for a passionate and creative English Tutor to join the Self-Degree educator network. As part of our global community, you’ll guide learners in mastering English communication, writing, reading comprehension, and critical thinking through a mix of AI-assisted tutoring, live sessions, and gamified learning experiences.

Your role is to help students gain real confidence in English — whether they’re homeschooling, career-building, or pursuing lifelong learning goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1-on-1 or small group English tutoring sessions through the Self-Degree platform.

• Collaborate with AI systems to personalize learning paths for different levels (beginner to advanced).

• Teach and support learners in grammar, writing, vocabulary, speaking, and reading comprehension.

• Design and adapt interactive lessons, activities, and creative assignments.

• Provide feedback on learner performance and track progress through the platform.

• Help create English learning roadmaps, missions, and gamified challenges.

• Engage with the Self-Degree community — offering insights, encouragement, and mentorship.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience, online or offline.

• Strong command of English grammar, writing, and communication skills.

• Experience teaching ESL/EFL or working with international learners is a plus.

• Comfortable using digital learning tools, video platforms, and AI-enhanced systems.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a supportive, student-centered teaching style.

• Bonus: Experience with creative writing, test prep (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT), or homeschool curriculum design.
