We’re looking for an empathetic and visionary Career Coach for Homeschoolers to join our team. In this role, you’ll help homeschooling students and families connect their education to future careers, guiding them in identifying strengths, setting goals, and building practical pathways to success.

You’ll combine your expertise with Self-Degree’s AI-powered tools to design personalized career roadmaps and ensure every learner can confidently answer: 👉 “What’s next for me?”

Responsibilities

• Guide homeschooling students in career exploration, skill identification, and goal setting.

• Create customized career development plans aligned with each learner’s interests and educational background.

• Help students translate their homeschooling experiences into professional portfolios and resumes.

• Advise on internships, apprenticeships, freelance opportunities, and college-to-career transitions.

• Collaborate with AI systems to automate career roadmap suggestions and learning paths.

• Stay up to date with emerging industries, remote work trends, and digital career pathways.

• Conduct virtual workshops or 1-on-1 coaching sessions for learners and parents.

• Partner with tutors and mentors to align academic learning with real-world skills.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Career Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in career coaching, academic advising, or education counseling.

• Familiarity with homeschooling systems, alternative education, or project-based learning.

• Deep understanding of career readiness, resume building, and 21st-century skills development.

• Strong communication, empathy, and mentoring skills.

• Comfortable working with digital tools, AI-assisted systems, and remote learners.
